Dr. Rakesh Jindal took charge as the Principal of the college in Aug 2004. Dr. Rakesh Jindal is an old student of the college (alumni of S.D. College), who graduated from S.D. College, Barnala and did his MA, M.Phil from Punjabi University, Patiala in Public Administration. For pursuing his Doctorate degree, he got fellowship in 1989 and worked as a Research Scholar in the Department of Public Administration P.U.P. till 1993 and in 1993, he joined S.D. College Barnala as a lecturer. Fortunately, S.D. College Educational Society started B.Ed. course in the year 2004 and Dr. Rakesh Jindal was given responsibility to head of the new college.
