Prof. Raman Gupta took charge as the Principal of this school in Aug. 2004. Prof. Raman Gupta is an old student of college (Alumni of the S.D. College) who graduated in commerce form S.D. College and did his M.Com., B.Ed. from Punjabi University, Patiala and M. Phil in Commerce. In Aug. 1991 he joined S.D. College, Barnala as a lecturer.

Fortunately S.D. College Educational Society started Dr. Raghubir Parkash S.D. Sen. Sec. School in the sacred memory of its founder President & 1st M.L.A. of this area Dr. Raghubir Parkash in the year 2004 . In 2005 the society established a well equipped and air conditioned Computer Lab in the sacred memory of Pt. Anand Sarup, the founder member. Prof. Raman Gupta was given the responsibility to head of this new school.
